What You'll Do
As a In-Home Caregiver, Homemaker, you'll focus on keeping our clients' homes running smoothly while providing kind, attentive companionship. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Performing light housekeeping such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and tidying living areas
- Washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry and linens
- Changing bed linens and maintaining clean, comfortable sleeping areas
- Planning, shopping for, and preparing nutritious meals based on client preferences and dietary needs
- Washing dishes and keeping kitchens clean and organized
- Running errands, including grocery shopping, prescription pickups, and dry cleaning
- Providing transportation to appointments, social outings, and community activities
- Offering meaningful companionship, conversation, reading, games, walks, and shared activities
- Providing medication reminders (no administration or injections)
- Assisting with light personal care needs, such as grooming reminders or wardrobe selection
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in client well-being, mood, or home environment to the care team and family
- Documenting daily activities and following the individualized client care plan
- Upholding client dignity, privacy, and respect in every interaction
Requirements
- A genuine heart for serving seniors and individuals needing support at home
- Must pass a thorough background check
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance
- Strong housekeeping, organization, and meal preparation skills
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor
- Ability to follow a care plan and work independently in a client's home
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a homemaker, In-Home caregiver, housekeeper, or in a similar in-home role
- Experience cooking for seniors or individuals with specific dietary needs
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is a plus, though not required for this role
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
