This full-time position is designed for those passionate about driving sales and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients. As a fundamental aspect of our business growth strategy, the successful candidate will join our proactive team to amplify our market reach and enhance our client servicing measures.

The Sales Account Manager will not have the option to work remotely, reflecting our commitment to hands-on client interactions and on-site engagements. The position will require frequent travel within the Hartford area, where face-to-face communication with businesses is necessary to foster trust and collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to hit and exceed sales targets.
  • Establish, maintain, and expand customer relationships by providing excellent service and support.
  • Regular in-person visits to potential and existing clients to discuss their needs and outline how our offerings can meet those needs.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and sales contracts to ensure clear communication and effective agreements with clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, using these insights to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to implement targeted campaigns and promotions.
  • Manage and update client accounts through our CRM software, maintaining accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
  • Prepare regular sales reports for management, highlighting sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Attend industry conferences, meetings, and training workshops to improve knowledge and network.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with the aim of maximizing profits while maintaining customer trust.
  • Resolve client complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions, thus ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Guide and mentor junior sales staff and help them achieve their personal and team sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and market standards in the Hartford region.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and under pressure.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a keen eye for opportunities and client needs assessment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle the dynamic demands of sales schedules and client needs.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
