Summary of Role:
Dynamic Systems Technology, Inc. (DysTech) is seeking an experienced Curriculum Developer to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J1 Military & Family Readiness Staff Training (MFRST) program. The Curriculum Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, updating, and validating adult learning curricula that support orientation, sustainment, and professional development training for National Guard Military & Family Readiness staff. This role supports both virtual and in-person training delivery, working closely with Program Management, Military & Family Readiness Trainers, and Government stakeholders to ensure curriculum aligns with DoD, Army, Air Force, and NGB policy and program requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, revise, and maintain adult learning curricula supporting Military & Family Readiness programs.
- Conduct curriculum analysis and gap assessments to evaluate relevance, accuracy, and alignment with current policies and program requirements.
- Develop lesson plans, training syllabi, instructor guides, student materials, assessments, and practical exercises.
- Ensure curricula align with DoD, Army, Air Force, and National Guard Bureau guidance and approved training plans.
- Apply instructional design best practices, including the ADDIE model, to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Support development of both instructor-led (virtual and in-person) and self-paced training materials.
- Coordinate with Program Manager, Trainers, and Government stakeholders to incorporate feedback and implement curriculum updates.
- Participate in reviews, validations, and approvals of curriculum products prior to training delivery.
- Support preparation of required deliverables, documentation, and reporting related to curriculum development activities.
- Ensure all curriculum materials meet accessibility, quality, and Government formatting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience (one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of experience in adult curriculum development and staff training; or
- Professional certification in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, education, or a related field and a combination of ten (10) years of education and experience in adult curriculum development and instruction
- Instructional Design Experience Must Include:
- Learning theory and educational psychology
- Instructional design methodologies and practices
- Educational evaluation and assessment development
- Instructional product development for adult learners
- Knowledge & Skills
- Experience developing curriculum for adult learners in a government or military environment
- Familiarity with National Guard, Army, or Air Force programs strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Military & Family Readiness, Financial Readiness, Employment Assistance, and related programs preferred
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Forms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Security Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1 background investigation (NACI)
- Must meet CAC eligibility requirements and comply with all DoD, Army, Air Force, and NGB security and training requirements
