Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Service Department, ensuring all services are delivered on time and meet the expected quality standards.
- Manage and supervise service team members, providing coaching and development to improve performance and promote efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that increase department efficiency and provide clear guidance to employees.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure collaborative management of projects and to streamline processes.
- Monitor department performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business objectives.
- Handle customer complaints and service issues, ensuring all client concerns are addressed promptly and satisfactorily.
- Prepare and manage the department’s budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and costs are controlled.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals, setting performance goals and determining areas for improvement and training.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and practices to ensure the service department remains competitive and effective.
- Ensure compliance with national, state, and local safety laws and regulations related to electrical and service management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within an electrical service department or similar field.
- Proven track record of managing a team and building a cohesive work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively managing customer relations and inter-departmental communications.
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems, tools, and software used in the industry.
- Demonstrative ability to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to handle the dynamic challenges in service management.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for service management, including ERP systems and databases.
