Job Description

Butterfield Electric Inc is excited to announce an open position for an Electrical Project Manager. This role is perfect for someone who excels in managing complex electrical projects and demonstrates a robust understanding of the electrical construction industry. The position is full-time and requires the project manager to work on-site as it is not a remote opportunity.

The Electrical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in steering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all phases of the electrical construction projects from planning to implementation.
  • Allocate project resources appropriately and schedule workers to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost tracking modules.
  • Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risk as projects progress.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders effectively to provide timely updates and foster solid relationships.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings to ensure adherence to timelines and specifications.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, providing them with direction and support as needed.
  • Handle the coordination of permits, supplies, and essential documentation required for the completion of the projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical blueprints, job specifications, and other project-related documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical project management within construction environments.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation, NFPA standards, and current electrical codes.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with electrical project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license, as a company vehicle and gas card are contingent upon the job offer.
