Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Good knowledge of various test equipment.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards and local electrical codes.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to plan and execute critical projects.
- Provide high-quality customer service during all customer interactions.
- Regularly update job knowledge through continued education and professional development opportunities.
- Assist and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician.
- Experience in commercial and residential electrical systems.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
- Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
- Valid license to practice profession (Must have ET card or journeyman card current for CA).
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues.
