Customer Care Associate

Salary Range:  $25 - $30 hour

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Care Associate. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional service that aligns with Slackwater Ogden’s values and client service standards. As the first point of contact, this position requires a proactive approach to address client inquiries, provide information, and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring a positive experience. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and evolving environment while being capable of working independently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, providing prompt, courteous, and effective responses.
  • Help maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Execute problem resolution efforts and make decisions that benefit both the customer and the company.
  • Attend regular training sessions to update skills and improve knowledge.
  • Effectively manage large amounts of incoming calls, emails, and live chat messages.
  • Document customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents following internal company standards.
  • Follow communication scripts when handling different topics but also have the skills to adapt when necessary.
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions or alternatives.
  • Upsell additional products and services by recognizing opportunities to cross-sell relevant items.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative, ideally in a remote setting.
  • Strong phone handling skills and active listening capabilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices along with the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • A high school degree; further education is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy with the capability to effectively navigate company-related tools and systems.
  • Empathy and a customer-centric mindset to ensure all customers feel valued and satisfied.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts or additional hours as required by business needs.
