Physical security, the first line of defense, focuses on protecting an organization's tangible assets, facilities, and personnel. This involves measures such as access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel to safeguard against physical threats, theft, or unauthorized access.

Position Summary

We are seeking professional, reliable Unarmed Security Officers to join our growing team. In this role, you will safeguard client stores, protect personnel and property, and help maintain a safe and orderly environment. This includes supporting operations, controlling site access, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vigilantly monitor and control access points to prevent unauthorized entry and maintain site security.
• Diligently maintain order and ensure strict compliance with established safety protocols and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive support to customers through professional ushering and clear guest direction.
• Swiftly respond to emergencies and efficiently assist with evacuation procedures as needed, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
• Consistently maintain a professional appearance and deliver courteous, respectful interactions with attendees and staff members.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain Maryland Security Guard Certification within the specified timeframe.
• Prior experience in security, loss prevention, or law enforcement is highly preferred and valued.
• Relevant security or law enforcement certifications are advantageous and will be considered during the selection process.
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check in accordance with Maryland Police guidelines.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred (not required), demonstrating a commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and effectively in various situations.
• Exceptional situational awareness and proven conflict resolution skills are essential for this role.
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed, professional, and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.

Uniform & Equipment

• Ability and willingness to purchase and maintain a Class A Black uniform to uphold a professional appearance.
• Radios or other communication equipment may be issued for efficient on-site communication.

Work Conditions

• Flexible shifts include mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Assignments may involve both indoor and outdoor environments, requiring adaptability to various conditions.
• Must be able to respond within 2-4 hours of notice for emergency staffing situations, demonstrating commitment and reliability.
