Salary Range:  $55 - $65 hour

Physical Therapist (P.T.) – Per Diem

Position Qualifications

  • Physical Therapist with current licensure to practice professional physical therapy in the state.

  • Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

  • Maintains a current CPR certification.

  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

  • Physical Therapists shall have a minimum of (a) one (1) year of experience as a professional physical therapist within the last three (3) years OR (b) be a recent graduate of an accredited doctorate program with clinical rotations in acute or orthopedic settings. Minimum of two years’ experience, at least one of which is in the area of rehabilitation, acute care, or home health physical therapy is preferred.

  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Management experience not required. Responsible for supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and home health aides when applicable to the plan of care.

  • Demonstrates excellent observation, clinical reasoning, problem-solving, verbal and written communications; physical therapy skills per competency checklist.

  • Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.

  • Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position, and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and/or crouching. Visual acuity and hearing to perform required physical therapy assessments and interventions.
