Position Overview
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying, developing, and managing customer relationships in the fuel equipment industry. This includes offering equipment such as fuel dispensers, POS systems, tank monitoring systems, piping, and related service solutions. The role requires technical aptitude, industry knowledge, and a strong customer focus to support the sales cycle from lead generation through project close.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with fuel retailers, contractors, engineering firms, and commercial accounts
· Promote and sell a full line of petroleum equipment, including Gilbarco Veeder-Root, and other major brands
· Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and presentations to educate and influence decision-makers
· Prepare quotes, proposals, and submittals in collaboration with estimating and service teams
· Respond to RFPs and project specs in a timely, professional manner
· Track and manage all leads and opportunities using CRM software
· Collaborate with project managers and the service department to ensure smooth equipment delivery and installation
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies
· Attend trade shows, association meetings, and manufacturer training sessions as needed

Qualifications
· Proven experience in technical, B2B, or capital equipment sales – preferably in the petroleum or fueling industry
· Strong understanding of underground and aboveground fuel systems, regulations, and equipment preferred
· Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
· Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Gilbarco Veeder-Root, OPW, Franklin Fueling, or similar product lines
· Knowledge of DEC, EPA, or fire code compliance requirements
· Background in petroleum service, construction, or fuel systems installation is a plus
