Director of Rehabilitation

InReach Rehab is seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist to serve as the Director of Rehabilitation at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, IA. This leadership role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about exceptional patient care and ready to guide the clinical and operational success of a rural rehab department.

As a Rehab Director with InReach, you will lead and support your therapy team while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. You’ll leverage your clinical expertise and leadership strengths to mentor clinicians, foster a positive team culture, and advance rehab services within the community. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the therapy team while promoting a high-performance, patient-centered culture.
  • Develop, implement, and review operational procedures and clinical best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and stay current with evolving rehabilitation standards.
  • Build collaborative relationships with leaders.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
  • Monitor department performance, including productivity, billing practices, budgeting, and financial goals.
  • Track clinical outcomes and implement strategies to improve quality and access to services.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and support therapist skill development.
  • Maintain a patient caseload and provide direct care alongside your team.

Requirements

Licensure & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current or anticipated licensure in Iowa.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.

Leadership & Operational Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability or experience guiding a rehab team.
  • Strong understanding of operational and financial management in healthcare.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Experience with EMR systems and healthcare information workflows.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to implement clinical and operational strategies that enhance quality of care.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
