Occupational Therapist

InReach Rehab is seeking a flexible and dedicated full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist (or COTA) to join our team at Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluations to determine patient needs, goals, and functional capabilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving independence, safety, and performance in daily activities.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions addressing ADLs, IADLs, strength, coordination, cognition, and functional mobility. 
  • Fabricate, fit, or recommend adaptive equipment and provide patient/caregiver training on its use.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Supervise and mentor COTAs and guide their contributions to patient treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions to achieve optimal functional outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies, home programs, and safety practices to support ongoing progress.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or anticipated graduation).
  • Current Nebraska OT license or eligibility upon graduation.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes.
  • Experience in rural healthcare or interest in serving rural communities.
  • Comfort supervising and collaborating with COTAs.
  • Strong documentation and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
