Job Posting: Certified Maintenance Technician

Fortiva Residential is hiring a Certified Maintenance Technician for our apartment communities. 
This is a full-time, on-site position for someone skilled, reliable, and ready to keep our properties in great condition.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect and repair appliances, HVAC, water heaters, plumbing, and general apartment issues.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to diagnose and fix problems.
  • Repair electrical components, plumbing, drywall, and building structures.
  • Complete make-ready tasks after move-outs.
  • Respond to emergency calls when on-call.
  • Keep simple records of work completed and parts used.
  • Select and pick up parts or supplies when needed.

What You Need

  • Valid HVAC certification (required).
  • Strong plumbing and general maintenance skills.
  • Reliable vehicle and smartphone.
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM, plus on-call rotation.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
  • Knowledge of basic safety rules and building maintenance procedures.
  • Speak, read and write fluently English
