Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager at Almco Plumbing is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, maintaining organized inventory, and ensuring that every project and service van is properly stocked with materials and tools. This role also includes coordinating deliveries to job sites, tracking supply usage, and communicating closely with technicians, project managers, and office staff to support smooth field operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations    

•    Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.    

•    Receive, label, and store plumbing materials, tools, and equipment properly.    

•    Keep accurate inventory records and update stock levels daily.    

•    Monitor supply usage to prevent shortages or overstocking.Field & Project Support   

 •    Prepare and deliver materials to job sites as needed, ensuring timely support for field crews.   

 •    Create and maintain supply lists for each project based on job scope and technician needs.    

•    Ensure each company van is fully stocked with standard plumbing and trenchless repair materials.   

 •    Assist with returns, exchanges, and supplier coordination when materials are damaged or incorrect.   

 •    Communicate daily with project managers and foremen to anticipate supply needs and upcoming work. Team Coordination & Reporting    

•    Maintain regular communication with technicians and office staff to coordinate deliveries and priorities.    

•    Track and document material usage per project for cost control and reporting.   

 •    Suggest improvements for inventory management systems and warehouse efficiency.   

 •    Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications   

 •    3+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or inventory control (plumbing or construction preferred).   

 •    Strong organizational and time management skills.    

•    Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack (certification preferred).    

•    Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for deliveries).    

•    Knowledge of plumbing materials, fittings, and tools (preferred but not required).    

•    Proficient with inventory tracking software, spreadsheets, and mobile communication tools.    

•    Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
