Laurel Village Dental Loft is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional dental care, we are looking for a professional who is ready to contribute to our service-focused and patient-oriented practice. This is a full-time position located at our state-of-the-art dental office. Please note, this is not a remote job and requires your presence at our well-equipped facility.
Outgoing Dental Hygienist wanted to join our low stress, highly positive dental team. If you are looking for a place where you can make a positive difference for your patients, and are a valued team member then this is the position for you. We are well established, one doctor practice, in a beautiful office with state of the art equipment including digital radiographs, intra-oral camera, Eaglesoft software, and electronic (no charts) records. We are looking for an experienced, mature, and compassionate team player to offer our patients the highest level of care and education. You must be local anesthesia certified, able to educate our patients, and provide only 5-star excellent care for our patients. We all work very well as a small team and have a great doctor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride treatment, and sealant application.
 - Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
 - Assess dental condition and needs of patients using patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting.
 - Take radiographs and intraoral photos as appropriate during the examination.
 - Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
 - Provide excellent customer service by preparing patients for dental hygiene treatment and ensuring their comfort.
 - Coordinate with dentists and dental staff to ensure optimal patient care and smooth daily functioning of the office.
 - Maintain dental supplies and equipment; manage inventory to ensure a seamless workflow.
 - Document dental hygiene services by recording vital information in patient records.
 - Enhance practice reputation by embracing a positive demeanor and being proactive in patient management.
 
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist.
 - Proficient with Dentrix, Dexis, and Nomad systems.
 - Active RDH license in good standing.
 - Excellent communication and patient care skills.
 - Positive work ethic, detail-oriented, motivated, self-starter, and adept at diagnosing treatments.
 - Local anesthesia certification required.
 
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (Exact hours can be discussed)
