Salary Range:  $16 - $20 hour

Looking for people who can work in an open kitchen handling multiple tables identifying tasks and prioritizing them quickly and effectively. Optimal candidate will have experience in kitchens and looking for a place where they can see guests enjoy the food they cook.If you are interested apply in person at our location between 2 and 6. Bonus points if you believe in the mission to produce real food with no seed oils and aren't afraid of making real food instead of cutting open a bag and heating it up.

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in menu planning. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys collaborating with others to create delicious dishes.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
  • Assist in menu planning, ensuring that all meals are balanced, nutritious, and appealing.
  • Handle food safely and responsibly, adhering to all food handling regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools, while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in meal preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
