This position is Full-Time and based in our headquarters. We emphasize the importance of face-to-face interaction; hence it is not a remote job. The ideal candidate will be the frontline of engaging with our prospect and existing customers, playing a crucial role in our expansion and footprint in the distribution industry. Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
- Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
- Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focus on selling products door-to-door in residential areas, specifically targeting the effective distribution and marketing of Kirby products as set by the company standards.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Should have a good understanding and experience in door-to-door sales, specifically with Kirby products
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong sales skills, including maintaining positive relationships with customers
- Experience in making presentations to various audiences
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivation, drive, and a results-driven approach
- Persistence and resilience in the face of rejection
- High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical trade practices
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior experience in the distribution industry is considered an asset but not mandatory
- Ability to understand customer needs and handle different sales situations
- Capability to handle physical requirements of the job including walking substantial distances and handling of sample products and setups for demonstrations
