Position Summary 

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing outstanding patient care, maintaining a safe clinical environment, and supporting the doctor and clinical team with efficiency and professionalism.

Employment Details 

  • Position: Part-Time, W-2 Employee 
  • Compensation: $30.00–$38.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Required Work Days: Monday and Wednesday (8:15am -5:15pm; 1-hour lunch break)
  • Probationary Period: 90 days

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience 
  • Current California Infection Control Certificate 
  • Current California Dental Radiation Safety (X-Ray) Certificate 
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
  • Take diagnostic dental radiographs
  • Maintain strict infection prevention and sterilization protocols
  • Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records and charting
  • Educate patients on post-operative instructions and oral hygiene
  • Monitor inventory and notify the office when supplies need replenishment
  • Maintain infection control standards
  • Ensure operatories remain clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Provide exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming patient experience
  • Collaborate effectively with the clinical and administrative team
