Griffith Family Dental is excited to announce a career opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Please note, this is an onsite role at our well-established practice, ensuring you become an integral part of our daily operations and patient interactions. We are looking for an individual who can bring not only their professional experience and knowledge, but also a genuine enthusiasm for helping patients achieve their best oral health.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Perform four-handed chairside assisting for all dental procedures
  • Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
  • Take, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Manage dental supply inventory and ordering
  • Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection protocols are adhered to
  • Prepare impressions and models for dental procedures
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
  • Conduct patient screenings, taking health and dental histories
  • Monitor infection control compliance within the practice
  • Participate in the evaluation of patient treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the dental team to coordinate and schedule treatment
  • Maintain patient dental records and documentation as required by law
  • Assist with other office duties as requested or needed

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Must have an active RDA license
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant
  • Proficient in taking diagnosable x-rays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization methods
  • Compliance with all health & safety regulations and practices
  • Commitment to continuing education for maintenance of RDA certification and skills
  • High level of professionalism and a patient-centric approach
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
