Shipping Coordinator to join an established, Georgia-based company that designs and manufactures systems that can start work immediately.  The Shipping Coordinator needs specialize in loading and unloading large items, be able to print labels and make sure shipping is correct. We are currently hiring for 2 position, part-time afternoon shift, Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm-5:30 pm. Weekend work necessary at times during the month.

The successful candidate should be a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.  This part-time, position requires 1-year of shipping experience.  The company is offering $15.00 - $16.00 per hour based on experience. 

 

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

 


Put inventory in designated stocking location;

Load onto Semis, LTL and flatbed trucks;

Unloads incoming material, verifies material to pack slip, inspects for physical damage and notes discrepancies on packing list/shipping documents;

Receives purchase orders;

Inspects shipments to ensure shipping specifications are met;

Retrieves finished stock and stages for shipment;

Operates forklift and/or overhead crane to load shipments on trucks;

Routes material to appropriate area and stocks material in designated locations;

Pulls materials from bin locations for jobs;

Identifying and labeling packages for shipment;

Provide assistance to Site leads.

Must have light carpentry experience...use of chop saws, drills 

Must be able to learn to assemble small components correctly.

Core Responsibilities Order Fulfillment: Retrieving specific items from inventory based on order sheets or digital scanners. Packing: Selecting appropriate containers (boxes, crates, or pallets) and using protective materials like bubble wrap or foam to prevent damage. Labeling & Documentation: Affixing accurate shipping labels, barcodes, and tracking numbers; preparing manifests or bills of lading. Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects, damages, or missing parts before they are sealed for shipment. Inventory Management: Updating digital records to reflect items moved or shipped; reporting stock shortages to supervisors. Equipment Operation: Safely using tools such as tape guns, scales, pallet jacks, and occasionally forklifts. Assembling components correctly and shipping the rights parts correctly.

Qualifications :

Must be able to pass a background check

Must have reliable transportation at all times. 

Physically capable of manipulating heavy objects;

Ability to pass drug and background screening.

 Attention to Detail: Precision in picking the correct items and ensuring labels match the shipment's destination. Time Management: Working quickly to meet daily quotas and shipping deadlines in fast-paced environments.
