Physical Therapist at Desert Edge Physical Therapy

Desert Edge Physical Therapy is excited to announce a career opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist. As we continue to expand our services and enrich our patient support, we are looking for a full-time candidate who is ready to join our energetic team and contribute to the growth of our practice. This position is located on-site at our facility and is not eligible for remote work. Our ideal candidate is someone passionate about physical therapy and motivated to make a significant impact in the lives of our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ medical histories to determine potential benefits of physical therapy treatment.
  • Design and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
  • Assess the effects of therapy treatment by observing, noting, and evaluating patients’ progress; adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and in-home therapy sessions.
  • Use various physical therapy techniques to alleviate pain and improve mobility in patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan supportive and cohesive treatment regimens.
  • Advise and educate patients about disease prevention and health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document patient therapy outcomes.
  • Stay updated with advancements in the field and incorporate applicable new knowledge into therapy treatment plans.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and professional development activities to improve skills and deliver quality care to patients.
  • Assist in the promotion and marketing of physical therapy services to improve clinic operations and outreach.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state license as a Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure.
  • At least two years of professional experience in a physical therapy setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work comfortably with diverse groups of people.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, act with professional discretion, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make quick, effective decisions.
  • High energy levels with a commitment to the continued growth of the PT practice at Desert Edge.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and to assist patients physically during therapy.
  • Proficiency in using digital health records and appointment scheduling software.
