Davis and Miller General Dentistry is seeking an experienced, self-motivated dental assistant to join our professional, friendly team. We are seeking a full-time dental assistant, Monday – Thursday, 6:30 am – 3:30 pm (the office is open 7 am - 3 pm). Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparation and post-procedure care.
  • Provide patients with preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
  • Take dental radiographs of patients' teeth when necessary.
  • Manage dental supply inventory and perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Partake in continuous professional development to improve skills and stay current with dental practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dental assisting role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office setting.
  • Empathy and the ability to comfort patients who may experience stress or anxiety during their visit.
