This full-time role is designed for a professional who thrives in both clinical and mobile settings, providing essential healthcare services with a focus on geriatric and internal medicine. This position is not remote and requires presence in our Sugar Land, TX office, along with local travel to serve our patients in community-based group homes.
The selected candidate will fill a crucial role in our organization, offering direct patient care and executing skillful phlebotomy services. Our outgoing MA is moving abroad, providing a unique opportunity for the new hire to receive comprehensive, immediate training to ensure a seamless integration into our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile Phlebotomy (Mandatory): Travel to local group homes on Monday and Tuesday mornings to perform precise and efficient blood draws, directly impacting our ability to provide timely and effective patient care.
- Fast-Paced Clinical Care: Room patients, take vital signs, conduct EKGs, perform in-office blood draws, and assist with medical procedures during busy clinic sessions.
- Program Management (RPM & CCM): Oversee our Remote Patient Monitoring and Chronic Care Management programs. Responsibilities include patient communication, monitoring health data, and ensuring accurate billing through meticulous chart reviews.
- Task & Workflow Management: Efficiently manage incoming patient tasks, lab results, and communications to maintain smooth operational flows, particularly during administrative periods.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Lead MA and clinical team, sharing the workload to guarantee that no responsibilities are overlooked, irrespective of the work setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Must have prior experience as a Medical Assistant. High proficiency in phlebotomy is crucial.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required for travel to group homes on designated days.
- Technology Proficiency: Must be adept with computer use and eager to learn new software, with a preference for those experienced with eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Language: Bilingual skills in Hindi, Urdu, or Spanish preferred, to better communicate with our diverse patient population.
- Work Ethic: Looking for an efficient, organized candidate capable of effectively switching between clinical duties and administrative responsibilities.
