Clarius Medical Group, PLLC is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner to support detox admissions, medical stabilization, and recovery-focused care for adults receiving treatment in the Clear Lake / Southeast Houston area. This is an on-site clinical role for a provider who is confident in patient assessment, early treatment planning, and collaborative care in a structured addiction medicine setting.
This position is distinct from a traditional adult primary care role. The Nurse Practitioner in this opening will focus on evaluating new admissions, managing withdrawal-related and co-occurring medical concerns, supporting stabilization, and helping patients transition safely into the next phase of treatment.
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable clinician who values teamwork, sound judgment, and respectful, patient-centered care.
Complete admission evaluations, medical histories, and focused physical assessments for patients entering treatment
Assess substance use disorders, withdrawal-related symptoms, and common co-occurring medical conditions
Support detoxification and early stabilization plans in collaboration with the supervising physician and interdisciplinary team
Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and other clinical testing as appropriate
Prescribe and manage medications within scope and according to applicable clinical and regulatory guidelines
Monitor patient progress throughout treatment and respond to changes in condition in a timely manner
Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and communication with behavioral health and community resources when appropriate
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EHR
Educate patients and families on treatment expectations, medication adherence, recovery planning, and relapse prevention
Help uphold standards for safety, quality, compliance, and compassionate care across the program
Active Texas APRN / Nurse Practitioner license
National certification through ANCC or AANP
DEA registration and prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain
Experience in addiction medicine, detox, residential treatment, behavioral health, urgent care, internal medicine, or primary care strongly preferred
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, physician-led treatment environment
Comfort managing medically complex or high-acuity patient presentations within scope
Experience with EHR documentation; eClinicalWorks experience is a plus
