Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Special Education or a related human services field
Successful completion of internship or formal training in:
Behavior analysis
Instructional strategies related to individuals with pervasive developmental disorders and related conditions
Demonstrated competence in:
Behavior management
Instructional skills
Oral and written communication
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and with clients of varying age and functionality
Certified as a BCBA for a minimum of 2 years (unless prior approval granted by Executive Director)
Proficiency in Discrete Trial Training (DTT) programming and implementation
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to use office equipment (fax, phone systems, etc.) as required
Reliable and timely communication via phone, text, and email
Flexible schedule availability, including Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at minimum
Up-to-date on all required trainings and certifications (per agency standards)
Valid driver’s insurance on file with HR
Reliable, insured transportation in the state of Missouri or Illinois

Job Goal
To provide support to individuals and their families by delivering services in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), conducting functional assessments, implementing behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and supporting development of adaptive life skills. The BCBA will supervise programming and provide ongoing guidance to Associate Behavior Analysts and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in implementing and documenting Behavior Support Plans.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervision & Training
Supervise and provide oversight for all programming areas, including training for:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
Person-Centered Strategies Consultants (if applicable)
DSP Trainers
Conduct training in ABA techniques, including Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
Offer practicum supervision and in-service instruction for support professionals
Train paraprofessional staff in ABA principles, behavior reduction, and program fidelity
Assessment & Intervention
Develop and implement assessment tools
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Analyses (FAs)
Create individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) with a focus on:
Teaching appropriate behaviors
Reducing maladaptive behaviors using antecedent strategies
Design and maintain data collection systems to track progress and guide programming
Analyze consumer data regularly to ensure program efficacy
Support & Collaboration
Provide direct support to clients and their families as needed
Consult and communicate effectively with:
Parents and caregivers
Support staff
Community agencies and other stakeholders
Maintain open and ongoing communication with team members
Review, approve, and document training on behavior/treatment plans for all staff
Offer in-field supervision as required
Administrative Responsibilities
Enter session notes into SetWorks within 72 hours of each session
Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Keep up-to-date with:
Research and evidence-based practices
BCBA certification requirements (32 CEUs every 2 years)
Comply with all internal policies and procedures
Other Duties
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
