Lincoln Transportation LLC is excited to announce a vacant position for a Dedicated Flatbed Class A Driver. This is a Full-Time, non-remote role that presents a fantastic opportunity for qualified drivers looking to enhance their career in the transportation and logistics industry. As a critical member of our logistics team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed truck. This position includes regular home time, specifically home for some nights, making it an excellent fit for drivers valuing a balance between work and home life.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that the flatbed truck is in optimal running condition.
- Operate flatbed truck and transport goods to and from specified locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure all cargo is secured correctly using appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage during transport.
- Follow all state and federal mandated regulations and the company’s policies regarding road safety and cargo transportation.
- Maintain communication with the dispatch team to quickly and efficiently complete tasks and address any issues that might arise during transport.
- No requirement for tarp covering loads. Manage preloaded vehicles and complete up to 2 loads per day efficiently.
- Deliver goods and deadhead (DH) back, ensuring each day is maximized for effective transportation routes.
- Track daily mileage and fuel usage, making sure that records are accurate and timely submitted; daily mileage will range between 300-500.
- Operate under the HOS (Hours of Service) regulations without violation, maintaining concise and lawful records.
Requirements
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum of 23 years of age
- Minimum 12 months Over-the-Road (OTR) experience
- At least 12 months experience specifically in flatbed transportation
- No major driving violations or DUIs within the past 5 years
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and have a good employment history
- Mandatory pre-employment drug screen compliance; no past failures
- Felony convictions considered on a case-by-case basis
- Ability to navigate and fulfill electronic log device (ELD) requirements effectively
- Physical ability to handle routine vehicle maintenance and load securing tasks
- Home time: Guaranteed home time on some nights to balance work-life demands
