Job Description

As a Semi Dedicated Flatbed Class A Driver at Lincoln Transportation LLC, you will be responsible for operating a flatbed truck to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations whilst ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and company policies. This position is crucial to maintaining our promise of timely and professional service delivery to our clientele. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated professionals who pride themselves in delivering top-notch transportation services. Being home every weekend, this position suits those looking for a balance between a rewarding professional driving career and personal time.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure operational safety.
  • Load and secure goods onto the flatbed according to the set guidelines to prevent damage during transport.
  • Navigate routes using GPS technology to deliver to destinations on time.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and logistics team to report any incidents or delays encountered on the road.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies related to hours of service, rest breaks, and driving times.
  • Handle the necessary paperwork related to cargo delivery and vehicle condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation equipment and accessories.
  • Ensure the security of the cargo during transit.
  • Drive in varied weather conditions and terrains.
  • Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.
  • Participate in safety meetings and refresher courses as provided by the company to enhance safety awareness and compliance.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL
  • Minimum 21 Years of Age
  • OTR Experience: At least 12 months general and 6 months flatbed-specific
  • Ability to pull primarily dump trailers
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent customer service skills
  • Physical ability to secure loads
  • Hometime: Home weekends
  • Accept Felons: No
  • Failed Drug Screen: No
  • Proven record of safety and reliability
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate electronic logging devices and other necessary technology
