Lincoln Transportation LLC is excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Semi-Dedicated Flatbed Class A Driver to join our premier logistics team. This full-time position is perfect for individuals who enjoy a dynamic working environment with a balance of road time and home time. This is not a remote position and requires on-site attendance.
The role entails navigating through the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas again, and Louisiana. Qualified drivers will enjoy the perk of guaranteed home time on weekends with possible additional nights at home during the week, depending on operational needs and routing efficiencies. As a dedicated member of our fleet, you will have the responsibility of transporting various commodities like pipe, sheetrock, siding, and transformers, contributing significantly to our supply chain efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed truck following all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Ensure the safe transportation of goods, which may include commodities such as pipe, sheetrock, siding, and transformers.
- Check vehicle conditions before and after each trip, reporting maintenance needs as necessary.
- Secure all loads safely with the proper strapping and covering methods as appropriate for each commodity.
- Accurately complete logs and reports including hours of service and any incidents, emphasizing detail and timeliness.
- Navigate routes efficiently while maintaining communication with the dispatch team for updates and instructions.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required, ensuring minimal damage to freight and personal safety.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with customers and colleagues, fostering a positive brand image.
- Resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay informed of changes in weather and traffic conditions to adjust trips as needed.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum age requirement: 22 years.
- Minimum of 12 months Over-the-Road (OTR) experience with at least 6 months flatbed experience.
- No DUIs in the past 5 years.
- Must have a clean record: No failed drug screens.
- Acceptance of previous felonies considered on a case-by-case basis;
- Legal ability to work long-term in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Physical ability to handle heavy loads and securing equipment.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Strong geographic knowledge of the primary states of operation: TX, NM, AR, OK, AR, LA.
- Willingness to spend several nights on the road, with guaranteed home time on weekends.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interaction with clients and co-workers.
