Forklift Operator
About the Role
Complete Logistical Services is seeking a Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and material handling operations in Houma, LA. This contract/temporary role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm (with some days ending at 3:30pm).
Success in this position means safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials accurately and efficiently while following all site safety procedures. The assignment is expected to last approximately six months.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials within designated areas.
- Load and unload goods according to established procedures and handling requirements.
- Move products to and from storage locations while maintaining proper organization and labeling.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all safety policies, including pedestrian awareness and safe travel practices.
- Verify quantities and confirm accuracy when staging materials for next steps.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas to support safe operations.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate movement of materials and priorities.
- Document or support basic operational records as required by site processes.
- Comply with all background and drug screening requirements to remain eligible for assignment.
Requirements
- Must be forklift certified.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable availability Monday through Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm (with some days until 3:30pm).
- Prior experience operating a forklift in a production or warehouse setting (years of experience not specified).
- Strong attention to safety practices and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic ability to understand labels and handling requirements.
- Consistent work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset.
