Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce a job opening for the position of Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer. This prestigious role is designed for a dedicated professional ready to take charge of our innovative technological operations. The Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer is a Contract/Temporary position which will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our company's technological framework. This is an on-site position and cannot be performed remotely.
The selected candidate will find themselves working in a challenging and enriching environment, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our IT systems. As Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer, you will be entrusted with the oversight of advanced technical operations, ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of our systems across multiple platforms and technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of identity management systems and server operating systems.
- Handle daily tasks involving server virtualization platforms such as vSphere or Azure hypervisors, particularly in a large, multi-site environment.
- Leverage extensive experience with Windows Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP for domain administration tasks.
- Develop and implement automation processes using scripting tools like PowerShell, Ansible, and Microsoft Orchestrator.
- Administer and optimize Azure portal and Microsoft 365 applications including Entra, Exchange, Intune, and OneDrive.
- Analyze system events, logs, and other resources to perform trend analysis and troubleshoot issues, ensuring robust system performance.
- Respond to and resolve advanced level system issues at a Tier 3 support level.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as necessary.
- Assist other IT groups like communications, business systems, and desktop support in diagnosing and resolving interconnected issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support and train other IT department members.
- Lead and manage IT projects, contributing significant insights and expertise to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of total IT experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with Windows Active Directory.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with scripting and automation tools (Powershell, Ansible, Orchestrator, etc.).
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience using system events, logs, and other tools for troubleshooting, trend analysis, and reporting.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with vSphere or Azure hypervisors in a large, multi-site environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with data gathering and handling data structures (XML, JSON, YAML, WQL, etc.).
