Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce a career opportunity for a dedicated and skilled individual in the role of Fabrication Supervisor. This full-time position is designed for someone eager to take charge of and lead our fabrication efforts. The Fabrication Supervisor plays a crucial role in the success of our operations, ensuring that all aspects of fabrication are carried out efficiently and effectively. Located within our production facilities, this position is not remote and requires a hands-on approach to manage and guide our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily supervision of shop and field operations in a structural steel and metal fabrication environment. The supervisor is tasked with overseeing a team of welders, machinists, and other fabrication personnel, ensuring that projects are executed safely, timely, and within budgetary constraints, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop and field operations within a structural steel and metal fabrication setting.
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of fabrication and welding teams.
  • Assign work based on production schedules and project priorities.
  • Monitor structural steel fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure all work meets the correct specifications and technical drawings.
  • Track production progress and report status to management regularly.
  • Manage labor hours, including overtime, to maintain workforce efficiency.
  • Assist with material planning and the coordination of inventory needs.
  • Provide support for field operations and on-site installations as required.
  • Train and mentor shop personnel to enhance performance and develop professional skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in structural steel, metal fabrication, or industrial construction.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role managing teams effectively.
  • Profound knowledge of various welding procedures including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as well as other fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and their application in an industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities coupled with effective communication skills.
  • Experience in managing production schedules, labor efficiency, and meeting budgetary constraints.
