Job Description

Complete Logistical Services (CLS) is pleased to announce a job opening for a seasoned Welder to join our dynamic team. This Full-Time position is based in St. Bernard, LA and is integral to our operational logistics. As this role requires high precision and dedication, it is essential for candidates to understand that this is Not a Remote Job and demands on-site presence. At CLS, Welders play a vital role in our fabrication and assembly processes, contributing directly to the success and integrity of our projects.

The ideal candidate will be involved in various hands-on welding tasks, utilizing their skills in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret specifications and blue prints.
  • Perform simple to highly complex fitting and welding assignments according to blue prints and layout specifications.
  • Gather materials, set up welding equipment.
  • Lay-out, measure, position, align, and fit parts into place.
  • Perform GMAW welding function in all positions.
  • Use jigs and fixtures to maintain alignment and adjust during the welding process.
  • Check and inspect welds according to specifications to ensure quality and conformity.
  • Perform general housekeeping and clean up in the assigned area to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned related to the projects and tasks at hand.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED Equivalent, or Vocational School diploma.
  • Must be able to set up and operate Flux Core welding equipment.
  • Must have experience as a structural fitter.
  • Ability to work in and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of US currency, weight, measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Knowledge of all equipment and tools necessary to perform the duties required of a structural fitter.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a practical fitting/welding test.
  • Must have the ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
