Job Description

Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce a job opening for a dedicated full-time API Inspector. This role is vital for maintaining high standards of integrity for mechanical equipment within various operational settings. As an API Inspector at Complete Logistical Services, you will be pivotal in ensuring that Inspection data files of pipelines, process piping, pressure vessels, and tanks meet the required design and inspection codes. This opportunity demands a high level of precision and expertise in compliance with governing standards. Please note that this position is not a remote job and will require travel to client sites, manufacturing facilities, and potentially offshore locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external inspections to determine if equipment meets the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard, or document.
  • Conduct inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of the fixed equipment of the facility.
  • Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Use a computer to compile and submit daily reports and inspection reports, as well as for inter-office communications.
  • Compile and submit completed inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Pay attention to detail and be capable of recommending and approving repairs as well as performing visual inspection of completed work.
  • Study equipment leak regulations applicable to location and customer base.
  • Be proficient with standard computer software (such as MS Word and Excel) and be able to write detailed inspection and shutdown reports while maintaining an organized system of files.
  • Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility, and customer; and promote a positive attitude towards coworkers.
  • Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years’ experience in Mechanical Equipment inspection activities.
  • Current American Petroleum Institute (API) API 510 and API-570 certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards including AWS, ASME, API (510, 570).
  • Capable of passing a Level 2 UT examination certification.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and be adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to perform inspection duties which may include standing for long periods, navigating tight spaces, and occasionally lifting heavy objects.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
