Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct underwater installations, inspections, and recovery operations.
Utilize and maintain diving equipment such as helmets, masks, air tanks, and regulators.
Communicate with surface crew using underwater communication systems.
Ensure adherence to all diving protocol including decompression procedures.
Perform surveys and tests on underwater structures or marine life.
Undertake cutting and welding underwater as required.
Assist in rigging or lifting heavy objects while ensuring safe and secure operations.
Prepare and assess work sites for potential hazards; participate in job safety analysis.
Report and record job completed and give feedback on any technical issues from the dive.
Requirements
Valid Driver’s License.
Current TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card – front & back.
Valid Passport.
Possess either IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association), DCBC (Diver Certification Board of Canada), or ADCI (Association of Diving Contractors International) certification card.
Graduate of an ADCI/ADCE (Association of Diving Contractor Educators) Approved Dive School.
Current rigging certification API RP 2D 7th edition (completed 8-hour course or 2-day course).
First Aid, CPR, and O2 administration certification.
