Job Description

Warehouse Labor Management Group LLC /  The Staffing Ninja is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Tank Farm Operator. This pivotal role is designed for a reliable and proactive professional eager to contribute to the successful operation and maintenance of the storage tank facilities. As a Tank Farm Operator, you will get the opportunity to work with a team dedicated to safety and efficiency in managing liquid commodities.

This is a Full-Time position located on-site at our client's operational facilities. Please be advised that this is not a remote job, and the successful candidate will be required to be present at the physical work location. We are looking for someone who can effectively contribute to all facets of tank farm operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing our operational workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance routines on tanks and associated equipment to ensure operational reliability and safety.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product transfers to prevent overfills and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage the receipt and dispatch of bulk liquids in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure the integrity of hoses, pipes, and other components to prevent and manage spills.
  • Operate and troubleshoot issues related to pumps, valves, and other farm machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Implement safety procedures for handling hazardous materials and ensure compliance with federal and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with the railyard team to ensure safe and accurate transportation and storage of liquids.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order within the tank farm to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare reports on tank farm operations, maintenance actions, and safety audits.
  • Engage in emergency response drills and real events to effectively manage potential incidents.
  • Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in plant operations or a similar field required.
  • Proficiency in using various types of machinery and equipment associated with tank farm operations.
  • Ability to be self-guided and motivated to operate independently.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in a plant operations environment and flexibility with hours; ability to manage through urgent situations.
  • Comfort working in an often harsh manufacturing plant environment; willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat or cold.
  • Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, heat, sparks, oil, and smoke; adherence to strict use of personal protective equipment required.
  • Physical capabilities to walk, stand for long periods, undertake heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.), and perform strenuous physical tasks.
  • Capable of reaching, stretching, bending, kneeling, and crouching routinely.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision are essential.

 

SCHEDULE AND PAY RATE : 

1 for 1st shift – Pay $18.06

1 for 3rd  shiftPay $18.06
