Physical Therapy Assistant

Salary Range:  $25 - $30 hour

Champion Physical Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. Under the direction of licensed physical therapists, the PTA will assist in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related injuries. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes individualized treatment plans and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.

  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist.

  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies to enhance recovery and prevent re-injury.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of treatment areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Georgia.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation settings is preferred but not required.
