Champion Physical Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. Under the direction of licensed physical therapists, the PTA will assist in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related injuries. Key Responsibilities:
Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies to enhance recovery and prevent re-injury.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of treatment areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Georgia.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation settings is preferred but not required.
