IT Field Service & Help Desk Technician – Network Support & Troubleshooting

Salary Range:  $35 - $65 hour

We are seeking skilled and experienced field technicians to join our team, with competitive pay rates ranging from $35 to $65 per hour. Our work primarily consists of short-term break/fix assignments, offering flexible opportunities that align with your preferences, including contract, part-time, and full-time roles.

If you have expertise in areas such as Data Center operations, BDA Coax systems, or Low Voltage/Composite Cabling, we provide premium pay rates for specialized work in your region for our ongoing (long-term) projects. While most of our projects are short-term, we also secure ongoing opportunities to ensure consistent earning potential for our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support for clients, including hardware installation, equipment maintenance, and diagnostics.
  • Deliver remote support and help desk assistance to resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems, including LAN/WAN troubleshooting, router installation, and switch configuration.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, systems, and software applications.
  • Utilize ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) to track and manage support requests.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and system updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide excellent end-user support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to support cybersecurity, VPN configuration, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Qualifications (preferred*):

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician, Field Service Technician, or Help Desk Support Specialist.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including network diagnostics and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
  • Hands-on experience with technical troubleshooting, hardware repair, and software support.
  • Strong proficiency in using tools for remote access and technical diagnostics.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or ITIL Foundation are preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common productivity tools.
  • Experience with cabling, printer repair, POS systems, and IoT devices is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
