This role is essential to the successful execution of our construction efforts and requires a hands-on approach to site work. Situated in Frederick, MD, this full-time position requires candidates who can consistently perform in various outdoor conditions and are adept at physical tasks. Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in all weather conditions and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Take and accurately implement directions and instructions provided by the Foreman and Assistant Foreman on all job sites.
- Provide essential labor support for wall stacking and backfill operations, ensuring structural integrity and proper material placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site through diligent housekeeping practices, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Accurately level out footing stone to create a stable and even base for hardscape installations.
- Perform brushing off of blocks after 57 stone fill to ensure a clean and professional finish.
- Accurately cut blocks and caps as required for project specifications, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining all job-related equipment, ensuring tools and machinery are in good working order.
- Install drain pipe as directed, contributing to proper water management on project sites.
- Safely handle and cut geosynthetic fabrics according to project plans and material specifications.
Requirements
- Proven ability to follow instructions and take direction from supervisors.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy labor, including lifting up to 60lbs, carrying, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Experience with hand tools and willingness to learn to operate power tools.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
