Duties & Responsibilities:

As a key member of our clinical team, your role will focus on delivering exceptional patient experience while supporting the dentist and team in all aspects of care. Responsibilities include:

Patient Care & Clinical Support

• Provide superior chairside assistance during exams, fillings, crowns, implants, and extractions
• Prepare patients and treatment areas, ensuring comfort and confidence
• Take and process dental X-rays (X-ray certification required)
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, procedures, and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and medical histories

Sterilization & Infection Control

• Sterilize and organize instruments following infection control protocols
• Prepare and clean operatories between patients
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards

Patient Experience & Administrative Support

• Greet and reassure patients, especially those with dental anxiety
• Help manage patient flow to minimize wait times and maintain schedule efficiency

Team Collaboration

• Communicate clearly with the dentist, hygienist, and front desk team
• Support your teammates with flexibility, positivity, and professionalism
   

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assistant certification preferred)
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols
• Dental X-ray certification
• CPR certification
• Practice management software knowledge, Eaglesoft preferred
