We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of our personal injury law firm. This role involves managing processing settlement disbursements, tracking case expenses, and assisting with accounts payable/receivable.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Track case costs, liens, and medical expenses
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist with payroll processing and employee reimbursements
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and case-related documentation
- Prepare financial reports for partners and management
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
