The Dental Insurance Processor role is a Full-Time position at our in-house office in Lake Oswego. This is not a remote from home position. Duties and Responsibilities
- Send claims daily for the offices you are responsible for.
- Maintain accurate records of patient billing and insurance details.
- Communicate effectively with dental practices to obtain the necessary documentation and information to process claims correctly and quickly.
- Respond to inquiries from providers and insurance companies to resolve issues related to claims processing and payment discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in dental insurance policies, billing procedures, and regulatory guidelines impacting claims processing.
- Able to distinguish proper billing codes for submitting claims.
- Engage in continuous education to master new software systems, billing technologies, and insurance processes.
- Prepare detailed reports on billing activities, insurance claim statuses, and unresolved issues for our review.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of patient and company information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in dental insurance processing.
- Proficiency in dental billing software and strong computer skills.
- Thorough understanding of dental terminology and dental procedures for accurate coding and billing.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and insurance claim management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members.
- Familiarity with the latest trends in dental insurance and eagerness to continue learning in billing.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to complex insurance guidelines and compliance standards.
- Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- A commitment to patient confidentiality in line with federal and company-specific regulations.
