Hours: Mon-Wed 8-5, Th 7-3.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative dental procedures, fillings, crowns, root canals, implants, and dentures.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Collect and record patient health histories.
  • Provide patients with postoperative instructions and oral hygiene advice.
  • Neatly setup and breakdown of operatories before and after treatment.
  • Perform infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Manage dental office emergencies.
  • Handle tasks related to both analog and digital impressions and digital scanning including Cerec scanning/design.
  • Provide support with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing records, and billing.
  • Ensure all care is delivered with respect to each patient’s privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Proficiency in dental office software, ideally Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
  • Strong ability to handle dental instruments and operate dental machinery accurately.
  • Experience performing digital X-rays and familiarity with digital imaging.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • A proactive and efficient approach to work.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety and hygiene regulations.
