Draper Dental, a well-established dental practice, is excited to announce a new career opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care and we are looking for a professional to join us in this mission. This is a part-time position that requires a proactive and patient-focused individual eager to work in a dynamic environment.

Please note, this is an onsite position at our state-of-the-art facility and is not eligible for remote work. As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Draper Dental, you will have the privilege of working alongside a team of highly skilled dental professionals, using advanced dental technology to enhance patient oral health. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining patient comfort and ensuring top quality dental care in every procedure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Talk to patients and ensure they feel comfortable before and during dental procedures.
  • Clean and sterilize dental instruments following each procedure.
  • Conduct initial patient screenings and dental health assessments.
  • Identify signs of oral diseases such as gum infections, cavities, and other dental issues.
  • Remove dental plaque, tartar, and apply protective sealants and fluorides.
  • Advise and instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide necessary post-operative instructions and ensure patients are educated for better oral health.
  • Prepare detailed dental impressions and molds as necessary for treatments.
  • Capture high-quality dental radiographs and utilize intra-oral cameras for patient evaluations.
  • Collaborate with dentists to plan effective treatments for various dental conditions based on preliminary exams.
  • Maintain comprehensive dental records, documenting all treatments, responses, and notable observations.
  • Continue education on patient-dental care including new technologies, procedures, and patient care standards.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid license and degree in Dental Hygiene (RDH required).
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with periodontal (gum) disease management and treatment implementation.
  • Laser certification will be considered a favorable asset.
  • Knowledge and strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA regulations, ensuring all dental practices meet safety and privacy standards.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • An analytical mindset and the capacity to make knowledgeable decisions concerning patient treatment plans.
