Deep Green Construction, a leader in sustainable building projects, is excited to announce an opening for a Project Manager position. This full-time role is crucial for managing our construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet our sustainability and excellence standards. This opportunity is ideal for those passionate about influencing environmentally conscious construction and eager to drive innovation in the industry.

Please note, this is not a remote job. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at our various project locations, interfacing with both our office teams and construction crews to bring our vision to life.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end, managing the timeline, scope, and budget to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration among architects, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor compliance with construction and safety codes, building and environmental regulations, and other legal requirements.
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and address any project roadblocks swiftly.
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, and local authority guidelines are met.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Regularly report to senior management on progress as well as the challenges faced and solutions implemented.
  • Assess project performance to develop insights for future project improvements.
  • Drive adherence to sustainable practices throughout every phase of the construction process.
  • Handle budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Understanding of the nuances of building the framework specific to environmental and sustainability considerations.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Able to lead the project to completion and multitask various facets of the project.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
