Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide support for individuals with Dementia and Alzheimer's, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients to foster a sense of well-being.
- Aid clients with mobility challenges as required.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and facilitate companionship.
- Document care provided and promptly report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to formulate and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Proven experience in home health, senior care, or a similar role.
- Demonstrable knowledge of safety practices related to elder care.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with caregivers and medical professionals.
- Ability to handle physical workload and assist clients with physical mobility and transfers.
- Strong observational skills and ability to report changes in client conditions accurately.
- Reliability and compassion are essential, with a demonstrated record of punctuality and integrity.
- Current CPR certification.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as client visits can require travel.
- A respectful and caring attitude towards elderly clients, their families, and fellow staff.
