Comfort Inn is presently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the capacity of a Hotel Housekeeper. This will be a part-time position suitable for someone eager to contribute to the quality and comfort of our guest experience. It is important to note that this job opening is on-site at our facilities; this is not a remote position. The role requires an individual prepared to maintain the highest standards of room cleanliness and organizational efficiency, ensuring that our guests enjoy a pleasant and sanitary stay.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and maintain hotel guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Change and replace all bed linen and towels, ensuring they are fresh for each guest.
  • Ensure that all rooms are stocked with necessary toiletries and guest amenities.
  • Inspect rooms for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly; replace or report needs for replacement.
  • Report any security or safety issues immediately to the management.
  • Maintain a stocked, organized, and clean cart necessary supplies.
  • Offer prompt and courteous service to guests to enhance their experience.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and fully functional.
  • Adherence to sustainability guidelines and use of eco-friendly cleaning products.
  • Assist in laundry operations as needed, ensuring that all hotel linens are cleaned and stored effectively.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained at all times.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations when handling cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper in a hotel setting preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
  • Capacity to take initiative and conduct all duties in the absence of close supervision.
  • Honesty and reliability are crucial qualities for the role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent physical condition; capable of frequent lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfection procedures is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with material safety data sheets.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities might shift frequently.
