Please note that this is a full-time position located at our state-of-the-art facility. The candidate will provide the highest standards of safety and patient care.
Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:15am- 5:00pm and Fridays 7:15am-3:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including taking medical histories and vital signs, as well as verifying the surgical sites.
- Sending out medical clearances.
- Following up on medical clearances.
- Writing consult and operative notes.
- Knowledge of Implant systems.
- Set up and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before procedures.
- Provide patients with postoperative care instructions and follow-up for recovery.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document patient care services.
- Manage surgical supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with the administrative staff to schedule surgeries and post-op appointments.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Surgical Assistant within an Oral Surgery or Dental practice.
- Must be Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or have an equivalent certification.
- Radiology Certification, as required for operating radiographic equipment.
- CPR Certification and ability to respond to patient emergencies.
- Strong understanding of dental and surgical terminology and procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent multitasking ability and willingness to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and colleagues.
