Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage appointment scheduling, modify appointments as necessary, and keep a high level of communication with patients about timing and services.
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Prepare dental office for next day’s patients by checking daily appointment lists and organizing patient files.
- Process payments from patients for services rendered and prepare billing statements accurately.
- Verify patient insurance details and communicate any coverage concerns both to patients and professionals within the clinic.
- Provide a smoothing link between patients and the dental care team; ensure communication of all relevant information to support patient care plans.
- Handle patient care logistics, including the preparation and maintenance of treatment rooms and workstations.
- Enhance patients' experience by resolving their service issues and attending to any special requirements or accommodations they might need.
- Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients for reminders and to gauge their recovery, post-treatment.
