InsightXcite is looking for a detail-oriented Systems Engineer / Business Analyst to support our IUS/IDS program in Northern Virginia. In this role, you’ll drive requirements gathering, process analysis, and testing efforts for mission-critical enterprise systems — ensuring that technical solutions align with business needs and strategic goals. Duties and Responsibilities
- Requirements Management: Lead discovery sessions to gather and document functional and technical requirements. Create system requirement specifications and user requirement documents. Maintain traceability matrices across business needs, capabilities, and test plans.
- Business Process Modeling: Map current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) workflows. Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities. Collaborate with process owners to validate workflows and system designs.
- System Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for system and user testing. Coordinate and perform functional, regression, and integration testing. Support defect triage and resolution with development teams.
- Programmatic Status Reporting: Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders. Track milestones, deliverables, and resource usage with project management tools. Facilitate meetings, stand-ups, and status briefings across teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Support: Act as a liaison between business units, product owners, developers, and architects. Translate stakeholder needs into scalable, feasible system designs. Support change management through documentation and user training materials.
Requirements
- Strong experience in business analysis, systems engineering, or IT project management.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, model processes, and support system testing.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, project tracking tools, and test management platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Engineering, Business).
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) — required.
