CDL Driver/Equipment Operator - Bear Claw Land Services 

Bear Claw Land Services is seeking a dedicated Driver/Equipment Operator to join our Forestry and Fire Mitigation Crew. This key role involves operating specialized forestry and excavation equipment, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering premier forestry and wildfire mitigation services throughout Colorado's mountain regions.

Location: Winter Park, CO & surrounding areas. Projects primarily located in Grand, Summit, and Eagle Counties, Colorado, with occasional work in surrounding areas.

Travel:

• Occasional travel requirement depending on project assignments.

• Lodging and per diem provided when travel is necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate specialized equipment, including Forestry Skid Steer, Masticator, Log Grapple, Track Hoe, Excavator, and Tracked Chipper.

• Drive Chipper Truck to haul and dispose of wood chips. 

• Mobilize all equipment from job to job with Ford F550 & Gooseneck Trailer 

• Handle loading, unloading, hauling, and disposal of materials safely and effectively.

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance, promptly reporting any required repairs to supervisors.

• Adhere strictly to Bear Claw Land Services' safety standards, promoting a strong safety culture among team members.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, ensuring client satisfaction and efficient completion of projects.

• Independently manage tasks and responsibilities to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 1-2 years driving experience with a clean driving record.

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Enjoyment of working outdoors in varied conditions.

• Physical capability to perform strenuous activities, including bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Competent use of smartphones/tablets for digital record-keeping and communication.

Language:

• English proficiency required.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.

Job Type:

• Full-time, year-round employment.
